Mad Weekend 2018

"Not since the hunt for Peat and Heather many years before had such a collision of circumstances produced such a haphazard adventure."

"Suddenly, in the middle of a desolate bog, they were confronted with the Mad Woman's Stones. Mike pressed on with an urgent need that could be met in only one way and David, with worry in his heart, had no choice but to follow..."

Well, what an August...

Busy august this year....

Started off with a visit to the GBBF...

...with my neighbours. An unexpected invitation as a consequence of my neighbour ground-clearing a section of my front garden (while I wasn't there) so he could get his trailer out!

Sunday 8 July 2018

Before the oven heats up.

30°C today.

Took a quick early walk at the best part of the day...

...over Harrow Hill

Friday 6 April 2018

Easter walks

A morning with the Bentley Wood Mudlarks...

A misty Friday morning saw my Son, Wife, Motherinlaw and I join a group of like minded individuals for a foray into the Chesham countryside.

So, That was Christmas then...

Christmas in Turkey, just for a change
With just a little sense of irony we had Christmas in Turkey.

Strange really to pick a country that doesn't celebrate Christmas, but as it's full of lovely people and good food it was a great adventure.

Luckily we picked a place far from the Syrian boarder.

Just to start the year off, the boiler's packed up, the dishwasher's broke and the bike has worn out.

Plans have been started to get fit for the Summer expedition - the Pennine Cycleway.

Probably best to start with the bike.

It'll have to be ready for the Summer and there's no sense leaving everything to the last minute.

One must get one's priorities straight....
